Over 100 Years of Roll Experience
Our manufacturing history goes back nearly one hundred years as the roll division of Rodney-Hunt Company in Orange, Massachusetts. In the early 1900s, this division was a leading pioneer in the manufacture of rolls and processing equipment for many industries.
In 1983, the roll division was sold and renamed KRH Rolls, Inc. The change in ownership moved the company to a newly constructed manufacturing facility — also located in Orange, Massachusetts. KRH soon earned a unique reputation for its large rolls used in papermaking and specialty rolls used in plastic, film and paper converting.
Fifteen years later, KRH Rolls merged with Perma-Flex Engineering, a roll manufacturing group with three production facilities in North America. The rolls team remained in Orange, Massachusetts, to serve as the company's fourth roll manufacturing and engineering facility.
In 2004, the roll division and all assets were acquired by a private investment group with holdings in other precision manufacturing areas. The company remained in the Orange plant, and was renamed PFE Rolls, Inc. Now PFE Rolls shares in similar engineering and application expertise through its affiliates whenever the need arises.
Over the years, our organization has served under different corporate mastheads. Yet, our focus on superior roll engineering and manufacturing has remained unchanged. We continue to grow the technology to handle the most complex of roll applications. We still invest in the personnel and equipment to maintain the highest quality obtainable. And our commitment to customer satisfaction continually drives our team forward.
That's why they say, a roll from PFE is unlike any other.
